Ring Girl Competition Launches Today
Milford, PA (February 27, 2013) – After the recent announcement that TriState MMA/BJJ will be hosting its second mixed-martial arts (MMA) fight, TriState Cage Fight, the local gym announced today that it will be on the search for a local girl to fill the third ring girl spot for the cage fight on Saturday, May 4th, 2013. With two girls already selected to represent TriState MMA/BJJ at TriState Cage Fight and all promotional events, a third will be chosen on Friday, April 12th, 2013 at A Night with the Fighters, to be held at Best Western Inn at Hunt’s Landing.
To enter, applicants must be at least 18 years of age, fill out an application form and submit a headshot to Danielle Dubee, Marketing Coordinator at KKPR Marketing & Public Relations, Inc., the marketing company for TriState MMA/BJJ and TriState Cage Fight. Application forms can be downloaded here: 2013RingGirl_Registration.
“We really wanted to involve the community in as many ways as possible with this fight because it’s truly a community event,” said Harry Brofsky, owner of TriState MMA/BJJ. “And what makes this competition really unique is that we are involving all of our fans in choosing another ring girl to represent TriState MMA/BJJ and TriState Cage Fight. In addition to the attendees of the pre-event, A Night with the Fighters, all of our fans and followers on our social media outlets will be able to message and tweet us who they think should win the competition. We are certainly not your average local gym – we are thinking outside the cage.”
A Night with the Fighters, a TriState Cage Fight pre-event will be held on Friday, April 12th from 8pm to 11pm at The Best Western Inn at Hunt’s Landing. Tickets for the event are on sale for $20.00 per person and include hors d’oeuvres, beer and soda. Attendees will have a chance to meet the fighters, watch live demos and take photos with their favorite fighter. Now, the event will also hold the first TriState Cage Fight Ring Girl Competition.
TriState Cage Fight, a TriState MMA/BJJ event, will be the first of a series of cage fights to hit Pike County. Featuring a mixture of twelve or more professional and amateur fights, the night will include local and regional fighters with a wide range of martial arts backgrounds looking to make their mark on the newly emerging Northeast PA fight market.
Tickets for the event are $65 for first and second rows, $50 for third and fourth rows, $40 for fifth and sixth rows, $35 for seventh row and $30 for general admission. Purchasing tickets can be done online at www.tsmmabjj.com or at the TriState MMA/BJJ gym, located in the Old School House Building at 201 West Harford Street in Milford, PA.
